To The Editor:
We came by plane, train, bus and car. It was hard to contain our excitement, as we made our journey to the National Mall from the metro station. It was hot and humid but no one complained. There were no arguments, no altercations of any kind. Everywhere you looked, you saw smiling faces. It seemed like the whole world was there together.
The steamy 28th day of August passed by in a flash. A memory now, however, a memory that surely made history and we will forever have that moment in time etched in our hearts. We will tell our children and grandchildren of the happenings on the Mall on that beautiful summer day, and how we came together as a nation under God and celebrated with Glenn Beck, Alveda King, Sarah Palin and the many spiritual leaders and military heroes, the only things that makes sense: that, we must stand up for freedom, keep our Constitution in tact, just as our founders wrote it, love and support each other, and most importantly, as Beck says have “Firm reliance on divine providence”.
There are many quotes from wise men. This one from the Bible is a keeper. “If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God for it” … James 1.5
Without Him, we are lost.
