To the Editor:
The head of the Department of Veterans Affairs is now finding out that the VA Hospitals are ill equipped to handle the (war), coronavirus. Surprise – they have known for years that the VA system is broken and has been broken.
The VA sends veterans to nursing homes and hospitals that are unequipped to care for veterans who served their country with honor and respect. To the doctors, nurses, volunteers who take care of our veterans – thank you!
Like all hospitals, the VA hospitals should be a priority. To the unsung heroes that try to take it better for our veterans and to the husbands and wives, widows and widowers, the time is now to take care of one another and to stand together and pray for one another.
America will become stronger because, that is what the American people stand for.
