‘Science Falsely So-Called’

By Kanengiser

To The Editor:
The above verse is from 1 Timothy 6:20 (KJV) if you’re scoring. This is in response to a sliver of Tom Halligan’s rant to the Herald of Oct. 10 on page A62. He praises evolution as fact accepted by “scientists” and scoffs at young Earth creationism. For starters here are a couple of points contending with his position:
• There is no evidence at all of transitional forms in the fossil record demonstrating an evolutionary process. Do we see species turning into higher species today?
• The Second Law of Thermodynamics holds to the fact that matter is deteriorating, not evolving. This is also called the law of increasing entropy.
• Pertaining to such nonsense as the “Big Bang” theory, where did the matter come from to fuel it in the first place? Furthermore, you cannot get order out of chaos.
• Postulating that planet Earth is six billion years old cannot be proved. For instance, carbon dating has been found to be inaccurate. Sedimentary rocks and the fossils in them were formed in a brief period of time. This means fossils formed in thousands of years, not billions.
As one whose main area of interest has been prophecy, that is, ALL Bible events fulfilled in the 40 year period from the cross to A.D. 70 (Preterism), I defer in the creation-evolution debate to the blizzard of actual evidence refuting the cult of Darwinism (See www.DarwinismRefuted.com).
I’d hate to think that the “scientific,” religious, academic, political, media establishment with precious few exceptions has a relentless agenda to destroy biblical Christianity, but darn it’s tempting. The Genesis account of creation, as always, is holding up against the unceasing attack by the enemy of religion of which evolution/atheism is one facet in that dark realm.
