My mother in law works for the U.S. Postal Service in Cape May County. During this scary and crazy time, she is front line.
Her office has no protection gear for her and they only supply two stations of hand sanitizers at her office. They send home letters with her to inform her that if an employee was infected they cannot tell anyone who works in that office.
My son is asthmatic and she cannot see him because she does not know if she is infected or not. She has to buy her own gloves and sanitizer. I even had a mask made for her to hopefully help her be prevented from getting this.
How can someone who’s part of the front line be completely forgotten? Our postal workers are handling mail from all over the world. The virus hangs on surfaces for more than 19 hours. How can our postal service be protected?
We need to shed light on people like my mother-in-law’s job and others who are not getting personal protective equipment like the rest. I know nurses and doctors handle first hand but, the rest of our “essential workers” need help too.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
