Leave Medicare Alone

To the Editor: 
Seniors, whether you voted for Donald Trump or not, Donald Trump vowed to support Medicare and Social Security, yet the newly-proposed American Health Care Act (Trumpcare), if enacted, will have a negative impact on the Medicare Trust Fund, hastening its insolvency. 
The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) increased Medicare payroll taxes. Trumpcare eliminates those taxes. The resulting impact on Medicare is obvious; it will go broke years earlier, maybe as early as 2025. This might force hospitals and doctors to turn away Medicare patients.
If that possibility infuriates you, contact Congressman Frank LoBiondo and the White House and tell them, “Hands off our Medicare!”
