Doesn’t Like Political Policies, Herald Cartoons

By Studzinski

To The Editor:
Why is it that people who claim to be so full of religion can turn around and object to the political policies that would, in fact, be very beneficial to the less fortunate?
I read Art Hall’s column about the physician who set up the clinics for the needy. He admired that. Then the Herald publishes political cartoons that mock the Democrats and get down on the efforts of the people who want to provide the less fortunate with the same thing that the doctor had to under-take because the govern-ment did not.
If we can spend billions on war, I certainly don’t have a problem with pro-grams that are going to help the common working guy. I don’t think every-one gets a kick out of the cartoons. I find them of-fensive and I feel Hall’s beliefs are hypocritical.
