In the waning days of ancient Rome’s glory, the Romans had a saying, “Hannibal ad Portas,” Hannibal is at the gates.
It meant that their empire was in trouble from within and without like our empire, our country is today.
China and Mexico are not at our gates, they’ve breached them. Our glory days are waning thanks to Congress.
