To the Editor:
The CARA walk at the Cape May County Park on April 16 was a beautiful morning despite the cloudy day. I was glad to talk with Al Campbell before the event.
“Respect yourself and other people,” Miss Cape May County said. “We’re all in this together,” Sen. Van Drew (D-2nd) said. Assemblyman Milam said, “We’re making a difference today.”
The white oak trees still had brown leaves from last fall. The fragrance of evergreens was in the air on the walk around the park.
I am thankful for the county funds that made the morning happen. The sun may not have come out in the sky, but I felt the sunshine in my heart.
