To the Editor
Once again, Al Campbell has “Hit the nail on the head.” I’m referring to his column on lawns. A lawn in front of a house is really a useless bother, waste of space and needless expense. What do we do with such a lawn except keep it decorative? We think that it would make much more sense to build a home as close to the street as possible and have a larger backyard where children could play safely and that a family could enjoy and put to good use.
