Author Gives Kudos to Lower Voters

To The Editor:
Kudos to the voters in Lower Township. They have eliminated the Republicans and voted in the good guys. The Republicans were a group concerned only with their own interests: lower taxes and more patronage for themselves. This was true from top to bottom. What did Romney want and at whose expense?
Here’s what Bush did: He started two wars and spent us into oblivion He also used tax cuts to set us back another trillion. Then the Republicans distorted the truth and tried to blame others. They will say the Democrats are a party of tax and spend. However, the Republicans are a party of borrow and spend and hiding the cost. The wars were never budgeted, never taxed and not shown. Even back to Ronald Reagan, their hero, who promulgated his selfish programs for the Republican elite and his trickle down never trickled. As a result, he took $780 billion (1980) and ran it into trillions in debt.
The Soviet Union was broke and the phony sound bites went on and on. Tear down this wall, etc. He and the ‘Iron Lady’ rattled sabers at our expense. Don’t forget the 240 Marines who were killed in Lebanon. Don’t forget Iran-Contra; who paid the price? Not the Republicans and here we are 30 years later with a $16 trillion debt, and the Republicans are blaming Obama
Look familiar? It takes time but the voters are awakening. We are beginning to see change. Change in the Senate and in 2014 change will happen in the House. Thus, the Republican game will be over. New breath will be breathed into our country. If it’s not too late, history will show the damage done by these hypocrites over the last 30 years led by chicken hawks and Fox
News. These people hide behind the cries of liberty and justice while scamming the middle class who do the actual fighting.
So awake wisely America, and take your country back.
