For Mother’s Day I asked my daughter, Anna-Faith, who teaches second grade, if she would have her students write something special about their mothers. What stood out to me from what they wrote, was what their mothers do with them, not what they buy them. In an age when material things get so much attention, it’s interesting to note that things were not high on their list.
