No Injuries in Limo Fire on Parkway

A limo caught fire shortly after noon on Thursday, June 6, on the Garden State Parkway in Upper Township.

SEAVILLE – Shortly after noon on Thursday, June 6, the Seaville Fire and Rescue Company, as well as the Upper Township Division of EMS, were dispatched to the area of 22.5 southbound of the Garden State Parkway for a reported vehicle fire.

After reports of a fully involved limousine fire, the Marmora Fire Department was added to supply additional manpower and resources. Crews worked together and extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Also on scene was the New Jersey State Police and New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Crews operated for about an hour before going back into service.
