ERMA- Will this cold snap ever end?
Could we get a groundhog or the Wildwood Pretzel to predict how many more weeks of frigid weather awaits us?
Sunday qualified as chilly with a low of 15 and an afternoon high of 26, recorded at the weather station at the county airport.
Horses wore blankets and even a swan on Cape May Point’s Lake Lily seemed to shiver.
Warmer temperatures are promised for mid week following a chance of light snow on Tuesday.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 24. Northwest wind around 16 mph.
A mostly sunny day is forecast for Monday, with a high near 35, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday night brings a 30 percent chance of snow showers with a low around 27. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday: Scattered flurries before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 21 mph.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. Breezy, with a west wind between 18 and 21 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 40.
Friday is forecast to bring another arctic blast but temperatures will be closer to normal with daytime highs near 40.
