Friday, Closures, Updated Feb. 11, 7 p.m.
-The Crest Pier Recreation Center is closed Friday, Feb. 12 due to lack of electricity.
-The Joseph Von Savage Memorial Pool will be open on Friday, Feb. 12 at 6 a.m.and will follow a regular Friday schedule until 4 p.m. There will be no evening open swim
-Magnolia Adult Medical Day Service

LIBRARY SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR FEBRUARY 11th
Cape May Court House – The following Cape May County libraries will be closed today, Thursday, February 11, 2010:
Cape May City Branch, Ocean & Hughes, Cape May
Stone Harbor Branch, 9508 Second Avenue, Stone Harbor
Wildwood Crest Branch, 6301 Ocean Avenue, Wildwood Crest
Woodbine Branch, 800 Webster Avenue, Woodbine
The Main Branch of the library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House will close at 4:30 p.m. instead of 6 p.m.
Additionally, the Lower Branch located at 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas, Sea Isle City branch located at 125 JFK Boulevard, Sea Isle City and the Upper Cape Branch located at 2050 Route 631, Tuckahoe are open with regular operating hours.

The following are event cancellations resulting from this winter storm:
Closings for Thursday, Feb. 11:
* Big Band dance scheduled for Saturday, February 13th at the Avalon Community Hall has been cancelled.
* Friend in Need” benefit has been rescheduled to Sunday, February 14th, at 3:00pm, at the Princeton in Avalon.
* All Recreation Programs and classes for the City of Cape May are cancelled, Thursday, Feb. 11th
* All Sturdy Savings Bank offices will open at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 11.
* Crest Savings Bank branches will open at 10:00am this morning with the exception of the Villas branch located at 1890 Bayshore Rd which will remain closed.
* Magnolia Adult Medical Day Service
* All Cape May County Senior Centers will be closed on Thursday, February 11th
* No Meals on Wheels will be delivered on Thursday
* Fare Free Transportation will only be doing Dialysis runs; there will be no regular routes, call 889-3700
* The Cape May County Park and Zoo will be closed on Thursday
* Cape May County Animal Shelter closed as of 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 10. The Shelter will re-open tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 11 at 9 a.m.
* The health department has cancelled Family Planning for Thursday and the Men’s CEED Clinic is cancelled for Friday
Cape May County Government Offices will be open Thursday, February 11, 2010.
* The Chocolate Jamboree scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11 at Ocean City High School has been rescheduled for Friday, March 26.
* Cape Assist’s Faith Based Breakfast at the Sand Barrens Golf Club Thursday Feb. 11 that was suppose to start at 8:30am is canceled.
Previous closings:
* Avalon Borough Council meeting for Wednesday evening, February 10th, has been cancelled.
* Wildwood vs. Wildwood Catholic basketball doubleheader is cancelled for Saturday.
* First Assembly of God, Cold Springs. Bible Study and Missionette Program , Wednesday Evening cancelled.
* Residential trash and recycling collection has been canceled this week due to existing weather conditions.  Anyone wishing to dispose of their trash or recycling products prior to next week may do so by dropping them off at the Public Works Yard, Tuesday thru Sunday from 7:15AM – 2:45PM.
Next week the following schedule will be in effect:  45th Street to 70th Street – Tuesday, 71st Street to 94th Street – Wednesday, 1st Street to 44th Street – Thursday.   
* Magnolia Adult Medical Day Care Service canceled for Tuesday.
* The Cape Atlantic Christian Women’s Connection has canceled their February 10th noon Valentine Luncheon at L’s Restaurant in Corbin City, NJ, due to the risk of inclement weather. Questions: please contact Pat at (609) 965-4840 or Joyce at (856) 455-7667.
* Assumption Church CCD Classes canceled for Monday 2-8-10 and Tuesday 2-9-10.
* St. Ann’s Wildwood CCD classes canceled Wednesday 2-11-10.
* All Masses and parish activities at Saint Ann’s and Assumption Churches are canceled through Tuesday. However, Assumption Church is open as a shelter. Bring a blanket, pillow and any thing that makes you comfortable. The church and hall has power and heat.
* All recreation programs in the Borough of Wildwood Crest have been canceled for Tuesday, Feb. 9. In addition, the Crest Pier Recreation Center and the Joseph Von Savage Memorial Pool will both be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 9 in order for recreation staff to assist the community and the borough in other areas with respect to the recent winter storm.
* The third annual Crest Pier Classic youth wrestling tournament scheduled for Monday, Feb. 15 at the Crest Pier Recreation Center has been canceled.
* The Middle Township Chamber of Commerce luncheon is canceled
* All Cape May County Senior Centers are closed through Wednesday
* Meals on Wheels will be delivering a two day supply of meals on Tuesday
* No curbside trash pickup in Lower Township on Tuesday. Curbside recycling has been suspended for the week.
* The Cape May County Freeholders meeting that is regularly scheduled for 7 p.m. has been moved to 4:30 p.m.
* The Lower Township Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Thursday has been canceled
* Avalon Borough Hall is closed Tuesday due to a lack of electricity
* Avalon Free Public Library is closed Wednesday
* Middle Township Baseball Softball Registration for Wedneday February 10th is canceled and rescheduled for Wednesday February 17th from 5-8 at Goshen Complex.
* Cape May County Freeholder meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 9th, but the meeting time has been moved from 7:00pm to 4:30pm.
* Freeholder Gerald Thornton announced today that due to the predicted inclement weather on Wednesday, the H1N1 flu clinic at the Department of Health has been canceled. Two additional clinics will be held in February, on Saturday, February 20th from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and on Thursday, February 25th from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be no recyclables collected this week in Lower Township and no trash pickup on Monday, Feb. 8 or Tuesday, Feb. 9.
* WCM remains in state of emergency. Borough offices remain closed today, 2/10/10. Recycling will NOT be collected & tonight’s Commission Meeting is CANCELLED. Public Works crews continue working to plow & salt roadways. Emergency personnel are on standby.
