WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING. THE DIFFERENCE IN PRESSURE BETWEEN STRONG HIGH PRESSURE OVER NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND AND LOW PRESSURE APPROACHING FROM THE SOUTHEAST WILL CAUSE A STRONG ONSHORE FLOW TODAY.
WINDS ARE FORECAST TO INCREASE EARLY THIS MORNING…AND GUST TO 40 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR AT TIMES TODAY ALONG COASTAL SECTIONS AND JUST INLAND FROM THE COAST AND BAYS. THE HIGHEST GUSTS ARE EXPECTED AT THE COAST. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED.
