National Weather Service Issues Severe Thunderstorm Watch

MT HOLLY– The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch. The watch is in effect until 9:00 p.m.
This Afternoon: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. South wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. South wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
