Dangerous Thunderstorms Are Possible This Evening

MT HOLLY– The National Weather Service reports, strong to possibly severe thunderstorms are possible this evening and tonight. Gusty winds with the possibility of small hail and torrential rains may occur as a result of the storms. The The National Weather Service storm prediction center has placed the area under a slight risk of severe thunderstorms.
An enhanced threat for rapid fire growth with continue today as fuel moistures remain dry and a strong southerly wind forms. However, an increase in surface dew points may prohibit relative humidities from dropping below red flag criteria.
Cape May County Forecast
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11pm. Low around 55. South wind between 11 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday: A chance of showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. West wind between 14 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 40. West wind between 10 and 13 mph.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 61. West wind between 11 and 17 mph.
Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 46. Southwest wind between 3 and 9 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 71.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45.
