Sea Gear Marine Supply on Route 109 and 4th Avenue, just before entering Cape May on the turn around, has shovels but is selling them for $40 each for the Union Tool Aluminum Transfer Scoop #12 size
While this reporter paid the price, several patrons in Sea Gear’s parking lot called it :”price gouging.”
In fairness, Amazon.com was getting $42 for the same item which may make this model the “Cadillac” of snow shovels. If you broke your shovel and need a replacement, you know where to get one but don’t expect to find a $10 shovel. An on line hardware store was listing the model for $50 which features an aluminum blade 0.077″ thick with etched finish, ash handle with steel and wood D-Grip for the toughest jobs.
This model looks like you could use it to shovel coal into the boiler of a steam locomotive.
