Veterans Affairs Outreach Specialist Assists Veteran in Finding a Home

WILMINGTON – Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Outreach Specialist Jaqueline Hinker was contacted by the office of U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-2nd), to assist in finding a veteran to give a mobile home to in Cape May.
According to a release, Hinker reached out to Medical Center HUD/VASH Social Worker, Mae Delguercio, to assist in finding a veteran to qualify for the home.
Veteran Chris A., 70, was selected to receive the mobile home.
He also needed to marry his fiance before moving into the mobile home, but couldn’t afford to do so.  Delguercio is also a credentialed pastor, and offered her services without charge.
The couple will be married Aug. 30 at the Cape May Zoo gazebo.
Various organizations donated their services and resources for the wedding.
