PETERSBURG – Upper Township Committee, at its Dec. 12 meeting, directed a $47,000 dividend from the Atlantic County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund (JIF) to go into the township’s loss contingency fund.
“In light of looming personnel litigation and anticipated potential associated legal costs and damages this is the right decision to make,” Mayor Curtis Corson said.
Upper Township Committee also passed a resolution, Dec. 12, adopting revisions to Upper Township’s personnel policies and procedures manual. Throughout the year there has been discussion about overtime for Emergency Management personnel, which is now laid out clearly and the revised guidance also clarifies retirement and health benefits.
