The Historical Preservation Society of Upper Township will hold an Open House at two historical sites on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Friendship School, circa 1830, located at 859 South Shore Road in Palermo is one of the sites.
The grounds also include a privy, a coal and storage shed, and an outdoor pump.
The other location is the John Wesley Gandy House, circa 1815, at 26 Tyler Road in Greenfield.
This one-acre property, known as the Gandy Farmstead, has many old restored buildings, including a barn, a root cellar, a smokehouse, and a woodshed.
Also, there is a grape arbor, an orchard and herb garden.
Of course, all the restored buildings have an interesting history that you will learn about during the open house.
There is no admission charge but donations are always welcome. For additional information, call 390-5656.
