Triathalon Requires Road Closures, Detours

NORTH CAPE MAY – Lower Township Police Department would like to inform residents and motorists that on June 4, the 5th Annual Escape the Cape Triathlon will be taking place. 
For the running and cycling portions of this event, there will be road closures and detours. Between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., all persons living along Ferry Road, Jonathan Hoffman Road, Seashore Road, including the West Cape May Bridge to Stimpson Lane, Bayshore Road (south of the canal), Stimpson Lane, New England Road, Atlantic Avenue, Emerson Avenue and Beach/Shore Drive from Lincoln Boulevard to Sandalwood Road, can expect road closures during this time. Additionally, Douglass Park will be closed beginning June 2 at 11 p.m. 

If you live in the area of any of the above named streets, please plan an alternate travel route during the morning hours. Lower Township Police would also ask any resident living in an area affected by a road closure that must leave their home, to call the Police Department at 609-886-2711. Police will make arrangements to safely escort you to an open road.
 
Also as a reminder, please do not put trash cans at the curb or park your vehicles in the roadway during this time. This request is to ensure the safety of participants as well as spectators.
