By Press Release

WOODBINE – Effective April 6, the existing aerial flashing stop signals will be removed at the intersection of C.R. 550 (Woodbine-Ocean View Road) and C.R. 610 (Dennisville-Petersburg Road) in Woodbine.
According to a release, the removal of the flashing signals is part of the process of removing the existing aerial electrical utilities within the intersection to allow for the construction of a proposed roundabout at the intersection.
The removals are a prerequisite for the construction that will begin as part of the Stage 1 phasing of the project.  The existing all-way stop condition will remain unchanged. The existing post mounted stop signs are not being removed at this time.
Drivers are reminded to use extra caution approaching the intersection since the aerial flashing signals will no longer be in place.
This stop condition will remain in place for about two weeks as the Stage 1 work continues.
After Stage 1 work, another notice will be issued highlighting the changes to traffic patterns that will occur during the Stage 2 phase.
