VILLAS – Please be advised that the road contractor for the Bayshore Road project will be temporarily closing the northbound lane of Bayshore Road from Wilde Avenue to Alabama Avenue the morning of May 24 for approximately two hours. The southbound lane will remain open.
The purpose of the closure is to permit the milling of the center line of Bayshore Road in order to eliminate the existing paving reveal between the northbound and southbound lanes. This is being done in order to enhance the ability of motorists to cross over the center line when turning and increase overall safety for the upcoming holiday weekend.
Traffic heading north will follow the previous northbound detour route that was previously established. Both lanes will be opened the afternoon of May 24 and over the weekend.
