Coombs-Douglass Run Moves to Evening Aug. 4

TOWN BANK – The Lower Township Police Department reminds residents in Villas, Town Bank and North Cape May to be aware of detours in and around the Town Bank and North Cape May area Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m. when the annual Coombs-Douglass Run will take place.
Townbank Road, Clubhouse Road, Miramar Avenue, Beach Drive, Shore Drive and David C. Douglass Park will be closed or detoured. 
Douglass Park will be closed prior to the race Aug. 4, 2019, until the end of the run at approximately 8:30 p.m.
The event will consist of a two-mile and five-mile run. The starting point of the race will be in front of the Town Bank Fire Hall.
The majority of the run will occur on Clubhouse Drive, Shore Drive in Town Bank and Beach Drive in North Cape May. Motorists can expect delays and detours in this area, as a great deal of the course will be closed to traffic. 
Motorists are requested to avoid the area during the hours of 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
There will be No Parking on Beach and Shore drives from 3 to 8:30 p.m.
