CAPE MAY – The City of Cape May and the Cape May Police Department advise the public of a change enacted last year, which affects the starting date of certain metered parking zones earlier in the year.
This year begins the activation of metered parking on April 1 and extends metered parking until Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the following areas in the city:
Carpenter’s Lane – Both sides of the street from Perry Street to Ocean Street
Lyle Lane – Both sides of the Street from Decatur Street to Perry Street
Mansion Street – from Jackson Street to Perry Street
The metered parking is $.25 per 15 minutes or $1 per hour. Metered spots have a three-hour time limit for a vehicle to remain in the same location.
