Thunder is back!

It’s the Fall Thunder on the Beach Monster Truck Competition, Sept. 26-28.
The Borough of Wildwood Crest will help kick off Thunder on the Beach Weekend in the Wildwoods by hosting a Monster Truck Expo at the Crest Pier Recreation Center Friday, Sept. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.
This year’s monster truck lineup:
* Grave Digger
* Batman
* Monster Mutt
* Brutus
* Rammunator
* Avenger
* Virginia Giant
*The car-eating, fire breathing Megasaurus
* Quad Wars
* Tuff Truck Competitions
This is an event that can be enjoyed by the whole family. There will be several stages throughout the event including tough truck races, quad wars, and the main event–Monster Truck show.
This fun-filled family event will feature a disc jockey, face painting, street performers, food vendors and more. But if you want to be more than a spectator, Monster Truck rides will be available on the beach at Heather Road.
Admission to the event is free but a fee is required for Monster Truck rides.

Then, Oct. 10-12, it will be fall Thunder in the Sand Progressive AMA Sanctioned Motocross Race.
This is a gathering of professional and amateur riders competing for thousands in cash and awards. It’s families and friends enjoying a weekend of racing, socializing and fun on the beaches, the boardwalk, great restaurants and more amusement rides than Disney World.
You can camp on the beach and race for fun the whole weekend. There’s even a smaller track for younger riders.
Watch practice on Friday, 1-4 p.m. On Saturday it’s registration at 8 a.m. followed by practice. Race starts at noon.
