Paul Sorvino and Chubby Checker will be in Wildwood this weekend to receive awards at the Wildwood by the Sea Film Festival.
On Saturday, Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. at the Bolero Resort, 3320 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, Sorvino will receive the Film Icon Award.
On Deck recently ran stories written by Jim Vanore about Sorvino’s performance in Greetings from the Shore. That film premiered last November at the Rehoboth, Delaware Film Festival and was recently released in theaters to a very successful reception.
Chubby Checker will receive the Hometown Pride Award on Saturday evening at the Bolero. His record “The Twist” was named the number one song of all time by Billboard Magazine.
