Summer blockbuster movies return to the Wildwoods beach
“Movies on the Beach” has returned to the Wildwoods for a fourth season, featuring the summer’s hottest hits on the big screen.
Movies on the Beach offers movie lov-ers a chance to catch the latest big-screen hits under the stars while enjoy-ing cool ocean breezes and sand be-neath their toes.
Two of the summer’s top hits will be shown nightly from Friday through Thursday on a giant 50-foot screen in Dolby-Digital Surround Sound. One se-lection will change every week, with a new movie added on Friday.
Recently shown was the new Batman thriller, The Dark Knight, and opening August 1 is Mummy 3 — The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, with many more to come. Movies start at 8:30 p.m.
Movie-goers are welcome to bring their own beach blankets and chairs, or they are available for rent.
The theater is wheelchair accessible and has two shows daily with separate admissions for each movie. Movies on the Beach also offers a full concession stand for those craving for some buttery popcorn, soda and sweet treats.
Tickets are available at the Wildwoods Convention Center Box Office starting at 6 p.m. daily. Prices per movie are $9 per adult, $6 for seniors and children ages five to 12.
Children age four and under are free. Movies on the Beach is shown next the Wildwoods Convention Center, lo-cated at Burk Avenue and the Board-walk.
