South Jersey scores high in ‘Choice’ awards

Several area cultural organizations scored high in the statewide JerseyArts.com 2008 People’s Choice Awards:
• Cape May Film Festival took the award for best film festival.
• Cape May Jazz Festival took the top award for best music festival.
• Cape May’s East Lynne Theater Company won second honors in the professional equity theater category.
• Elmer’s Apple Farm Arts & Music Center took top honors in the “Favorite Place to Take a Class in the Arts (kids)” category.
• Millville’s Wheaton Arts & Cultural Center was voted “Favorite Place to Take a Class in the Arts (adults).”
JerseyArts is an outreach of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
The statewide 2008 People’s Choice Award competition drew thousands of votes in 15 different categories.
