Sea Isle to Work with Neighbors on TV Station

By Joe Hart

SEA ISLE CITY — City Council here approved an inter-local agreement Nov. 27 between itself, Avalon and Stone Harbor to explore the options for a public service television channel for the benefit of the respective communities.
Comcast Inc. has offered to provide the municipalities with the resources necessary to establish a local access channel for governmental and educational purposes.
The station has been referred to as the TelVue Virtual Television Network (TVTN) Channel 2.
The towns are trying to work out details of how airtime would be divided, whether in three 20-minute intervals per hour, or in another fashion.
In Lower Township on the Public, Educational and Government (PEG) Channel 9, the county Technical High School and Teitleman Middle School share programming time.
