Sea Isle City’s Italian Festival

By On Deck Staff

Celebrate Sea Isle City’s rich Italian history at the 2008 Columbus Day Parade and Italian Festival
Italians and Italian-wannabees will enjoy a full day of entertainment, great food and family-friendly activities during Sea Isle City’s Italian Festival on Saturday, Oct. 11.
This newly planned festival, which will take place at Kix-McNutley’s, 63rd and Landis avenues, is scheduled to coincide with the Annual Sea Isle City Columbus Day Parade.
The parade will begin at 2 p.m. in front the Italian American Club on JFK Boulevard (adjacent to the Sea Isle Bridge) and will feature many local Italian residents and business owners.
From the bridge area, the parade will continue toward Landis Avenue, where it heads south until it culminates at the Italian Festival at 63rd Street.
Beginning at 1 p.m., the Italian Festival will include a wide variety of enjoyable options for every member of the family.
In addition to live music all day, there will be a special tent under which Jerry Blavat will entertain rock ‘n roll lovers of all ages.
There will be a children’s area with kid-friendly activities, plus a variety of vendors selling food, crafts and collectibles.
Also, the Cento Corporation will have their hospitality truck at the festival, which will feature specialty items and cookware.
