Dennis Township’s Second Graders Honor Veterans

Derek

By From Dennis Township Primary School

DENNIS TOWNSHIP – Dennis Township’s 2nd Graders were treated to a special visit by the district’s former 4th grade teacher, John Rose.
In honor of Veterans Day, Rose, continued his two decade plus long tradition of putting on his unaltered uniform and presenting an informative talk about being drafted into the Army.
He also talked about his experience in the army, the History of Veterans Day, and interesting facts about Arlington National Cemetery.
Rose is the grandfather of current 2nd grader, Derek Heck, who was beaming with pride as his grandfather talked.
Dennis Township thanks Mr. Rose and all Veterans for their service, for their courage, strength and dedication to keeping the nation safe.
