“The outcome of the election in Dennis Township remains an open question,” stated GOP Chairman Michael Donohue in a release. “While the numbers might change, it appears that Democrat Donald Tozer has achieved sufficient votes to ensure that he would be one of two successful candidates regardless of the final count, and we congratulate him. At the moment however, Republican Frank Germanio trails Democrat Lisa Salimbene by 7 votes. There are 13 provisional ballots that will be counted on Friday, Nov. 7. Obviously, those ballots could tip the outcome of the election for the second seat in Dennis Township. We will be awaiting the counting of the provisional ballots before making a determination on whether to request a recount or otherwise challenge the outcome of the election.”
