The Executive Director of the Teaparty Patriots of Southern NJ responded to a Lower Township Spouter on June 3.
Larry Trulli said in an email to the Herald:
“I must respond to an untrue Spout Off published in the June 2 Cape May County Herald. A Lower Township spouter claimed Freeholder Ralph Bakley and and John McCann were not invited to the Tea Party forum held on May 12 in Dennis Township.
The truth is, I personally engaged in about six weeks of dialogue via email with David Von Savage, campaign manager for those candidates, in addition to leaving messages for John McCann on his cell phone and at his office inviting him to participate in the forum. Despite nearly six weeks of discussions with their campaign manager and Republican County Chairman, candidates Bakley and McCann never responded to my invitation to participate in the forum, which was attended by Freeholder Gerald Thornton and Freeholder candidate Sue Sheppard, president of the Ocean City Council, and more than 100 members of the public.”
