Mayor Perillo Won’t Run for Reelection

By Herald Staff

OCEAN CITY — Mayor Salvatore Perillo will not seek reelection, according to a release from mayoral candidate Jay Gillian.
Gillian, local amusement pier owner, issued the following statement on Jan. 25:
“I’ve been made aware that Mayor Sal Perillo has announced that he will not seek reelection in May. I understand as well as anyone the sacrifices that are made by people that serve the public, and I know Sal’s term as mayor took time away from both his family and business. I didn’t always agree with Sal, but I appreciate his service to the community and wish him all the best in the future.”
