COURT HOUSE — County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti, who ran unopposed for her county post, issued the following statement on Election Night Tue., Nov. 2:
“It is both humbling and exhilarating to know that more than 22,000 voters cast their ballots to elect me. I thank the people of Cape May County for their faith and confidence in me to continue as County Clerk.
“This election became a national phenomenon of the people selecting leaders who believe in smaller representative government. I am excited to have been a part of it.
“My sincere congratulations to Freeholder Gerald Thornton and Freeholder elect Susan Sheppard. I look forward to good government at the county level under their leadership.”
