By On Deck Staff

The Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club will hold its annual election of officers on Wednesday, March 18. The monthly meeting will take place at Celina’s Cafe, located at the Plaza at Center Point, 1205 Tilton Road, Northfield. Member phlocking begins at 6:30 p.m. Celina’s is B.Y.O.B.
Members are asked to bring food donations that night for the club’s annual United Way Hot Lunch community service activity to take place the next day, Thursday, March 19.
Items needed include meatballs, rolls, marinara sauce, fresh salad, fresh fruit, soda, and dessert.
The club also needs volunteers to prepare and serve lunch to about 50 people from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Baptist Church, 230 E. Maple St., Wildwood. Parrot head members are also collecting clean, gently used, blue jeans to contribute to United Way.
The club will also be discussing plans for Spring Island Frenzy X, the group’s largest annual fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, at the Ocean Drive, in Sea Isle City.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund and Volunteers in Medicine.
The Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club brings together people with similar interests in the music of Jimmy Buffet and organizes a number of fun social gatherings, charitable fundraisers, and community service events throughout the year.
