Old Ferry Sunk for Reef

NORTH CAPE MAY – The MV Twin Capes, formerly part of the Cape May-Lewes Ferry system, was sunk June 15 to become part of Del-Jersey-Land Inshore Artificial Reef, according to media reports.
It was stripped of anything that could be dangerous to the environment, and taken about 35 miles off Delaware, where it was sunk just before noon, The Press of Atlantic City reports
It will provide habitat for sea life and a place for recreational fishermen to enjoy, the report continued.
