Ocean City holds Main Street elections

Main Street Ocean City will hold its annual election on Tuesday, March 31 from 3-6 p.m. at the City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Avenue.
The Main Street Board consists of six at-large directors plus the 2nd Ward Council member.
There are three 3-year seats, two 2-year seats, and one 1-year seat available.
Anyone interested in seeking nomination should attend the Main Street meeting on March 18 at 8 a.m. at Scully’s Asbury Café, 955 Asbury, or contact Marcia Shallcross at 609-398-4662 by Friday, March 20.
Voting is limited to property owners within the districts, business owners within the districts, and residents whose legal domicile is within the districts.
The S.I.D.’s are from 6-11th street along Asbury Avenue and 9th Street from the bridge to Asbury Avenue.
Main Street is a community-wide effort to energize the Downtown so that it will remain a vibrant center for town events and shopping.
Downtown Ocean City is the largest Downtown shopping district at the Jersey Shore and is home to over 100 independently owned and operated unique shops, galleries and restaurants.
