ATLANTIC CITY – Following feedback received at recent “We Are Listening” forums in Atlantic City and Cherry Hill, NJ TRANSIT is adjusting some substitute bus service to include a stop at the Atlantic City Rail Terminal/Convention Center.
According to a release, beginning March 9, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 340 (Atlantic City – Lindenwold Express) and 551 (Atlantic City – Philadelphia) will serve the Atlantic City Rail Terminal/Convention Center on most trips. Previously those routes originated and terminated at the Atlantic City Bus Terminal.
“One of the things our customers requested at the ‘We Are Listening’ forums last month was more convenient access to NJ TRANSIT bus service at the Atlantic City Rail Terminal and Convention Center,” stated NJ TRANSIT Executive Director Kevin Corbett. “With these additional stops, daily customers will benefit from the additional access to ample parking while event planners, vendors and attendees at the convention center will have one-seat rides from Philadelphia and Lindenwold express bus routes.”
Trips arriving in Atlantic City will first stop at the Atlantic City Bus Terminal, and then continue on to a final stop at the Rail Terminal/Convention Center.
Trips departing Atlantic City will originate at the Atlantic City Rail Terminal/Convention Center and stop at the Atlantic City Bus Terminal five minutes later to continue on to Lindenwold Express (Route 340) or Philadelphia (551).
This service will operate until the Atlantic City Rail Line is restored on May 24, 2019.
