COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township Police Department and Christians United for Recovery (CURE) will be holding a Press Conference at the Middle Township Municipal meeting room at 2 p.m. on Tues., Oct. 4.
The Middle Township Police Department will be announcing a unique partnership with CURE to support our efforts to steer addicts to treatment and expand our efforts outside of narcotics enforcement. This program was inspired by Gloucester Police in Massachusetts, where they launched the Angel Program last year to increase access to addiction treatment services for their residents.
Chief of Police Christopher Leusner and Pastor Charlie Harrah from CURE will go into detail on this new program followed by remarks from Township Committee members and Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor.
