Mickey Vernon coming to BeachComber Collectibles

Beachcomber Collectibles in the Shore Mall announces its 20th Annual Labor Day Weekend Sports, Card and Memorabilia Show. The show which is held at the Shore Mall, 6725 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township will feature over 20 tables of sports cards, authentic memorabilia and collectibles. The event will run August 29th through September 1st during Mall hours. Friday, Saturday 10:00 am – 9:00 pm and Sunday & Monday 11:00 am – 5:00 p.m.
The featured sports guest will be Major League’s Baseball former first baseman Mickey Vernon. He played for the Washington Senators (1939-1948, 1950-55) Boston Red Sox (1956 – 1957) Milwaukee Bravess (1959) and Pittsburgh Pirate (1960). He retired with 2,495 hits. He holds the major league record for career double plays at first base and is a 7 time All-Star selection.
Mickey will be at the Beachcomber on Saturday August 30th, 2008 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. signing autographs and talking baseball. Autographs are only $5.00 each. Advanced tickets are now available at BeachComber Collectibles.
The show will also feature James Spence of JSA authentication. He and his team will be on hand Saturday from 10-4 to review and authenticate your sports autographs.
