COURT HOUSE – A man was removed from the Cape May County Park and Zoo and was issued a citation after he attempted to enter a cheetah habitat to take photos, according to published reports.
The man hopped over the first of two fences that surround the habitat, but he was apprehended by park officials before he could hop the second fence and successfully enter. When speaking with park officials, the man said he got the idea from a friend, who he claimed successfully entered a habitat to pet a tiger at another zoo.
The cheetahs, Buju and Beenie, did not attempt to harm the man during the incident.
