Greetings from Africa, hope all is well here.

Just a reminder that the Gardening By the Sea Club meets the first Wednesday of every month at the township hall meeting room at 10 a.m.
I went away before I got a note on the program for March but I’m sure it will be interesting and that if you stop by you’ll meet an interesting group of folks.
***
In another week March will be here and you know what that means.
It’s time to get out all the green to be ready for St. Patrick’s Day.
The ladies of the Hallahan Catholic Girls High School Alumnae will be celebrating the day with a party March 9 at the Villas Fishing Club at noon.
There will be an Irish dinner and Irish dancing – tickets are $18.
The event benefits the group’s tuition assistance fund for girls who attend the school.
You don’t have to be Irish or a member of the group, or even a woman or a girl, to attend.
Call Peg at 898-0639 or 884-0709 for more information.

There’s food at St. Barnabas by the Bay again.
It’s a ham dinner on March 11 and will last from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until the food runs out.
Adults eat for $8, kids six to 12 eat for $3 and those under six eat free.
Takeouts are available.
Call 886-2625.

The board of education for the our regional district, which includes the high school and Teitelman meets Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the board of Education Building in front of the high school parking lot on Route 9.

Speaking of St. Patrick’s Day and students.
As usual, the Richard M, Teitelman band will be driving by busloads to New York City March 17 to march in the St. Patrick’s Day parade there. They come away top winners every year.
In the next few weeks you will see them practicing their music and their steps around the school parking lot.
Let’s wish them all good luck. They also make us look good on Fifth Avenue.
***
That’s all for now, have a good week.
