Al Mussachio of Wildwood Crest was recently honored as a 2008 Coach of the Year by USA Boxing’s Middle Atlantic Boxing Association at a dinner at Swan Caterers in South Philadelphia.
Mussachio is a co-founder and head trainer at the Wildwood Boxing Club on Park Boulevard. He is the father, manager, and trainer of undefeated Wildwood light heavyweight Chuck “The Professor” Mussachio.
Also honored at the affair were such familiar Philadelphia boxing personalities as Eugene “Cyclone” Hart, Calvin Grove, and Anthony Boyle.
Mussachio, who had a previous commitment in upstate Pennsylvania, was represented by Wildwood Boxing Club trainer Andrew Halbruner.
