It’s another ‘Island Holiday’ in Stone Harbor

By On Deck Staff

It’s probably the biggest weekend of the holiday season, and the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce does it up big Nov. 28-29 with “Christmas in Stone Harbor—An Island Holiday.”
New for this year are special areas decorated by the businesses on 96th Street, and the House Decorating and Trolley Tour, with homeowners decorating their homes for the weekend.
There will be free trolley rides throughout town, showcasing these homes.
We’re going to save the most unique event for last, so keep reading!
On both days:
• Christmas caroling throughout the day.
• Sand art stand.
• Caricature artist.
• Letters to Santa.
• Hot doughnuts and drinks.
• Decorated window tour throughout town, with the tale of “The Polar Express” told in shop windows.
• Photos with Santa at the firehouse.
On Friday:

• Children’s book signing at the Harbor Mall, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stone Harbor’s Hospitality nights will be held from noon- 9 p.m. Friday, and noon-7 p.m. Saturday.
And upon entering Stone Harbor from the Parkway, as soon as you cross the bridge, on your left will be “Harbor Outfitters,” with a Stone Harbor Lifeguard boat moored prominently outside. Families are invited to use the boat as a setting for photos.
Now, we told you we were saving the best for last (Dads and kids are going to love this!) —anyone can bring any items they have purchased, even if they are from other stores in other towns, to the center of the Harbor Square Mall, and get them wrapped for free! Any package from any other place!
What other town offers you that deal?
Come to Stone Harbor Nov. 28-29 and get in the Christmas spirit. Stone Harbor already is!
