The next Sea Isle City Skate Jam competition will take place on Saturday, July 5.
This is great news for the many skateboarding enthusiasts in the area who regularly enjoy these popular freewheeling competitions.
The July 5th Skate Jam will begin at 3 p.m. at the Dealy Field Skateboard Park, 59th and Central Avenue (rain date: July 6).
The event is open to participants of all ages who will compete in various age groups. Parents, family members and friends are encouraged to cheer on the skaters as they display their skills on the park’s obstacles, sloping walls and half-pipes.
Skate Jams are presented at no cost to participants. Prizes, such as skateboard accessories and apparel, will be awarded to all winners. There will also be gift-bags and other free items distributed to participants, while supplies last.
As always, skateboarders are required to wear helmets inside the Sea Isle City Skateboard Park. Additionally, organizers suggested that younger, less experienced skateboarders also wear protective elbow and kneepads.
Skate Jams are sponsored by Method Skateboard and Wakeboard Shop, in cooperation with the Sea Isle City Community Service Department’s Division of Recreation. For additional information, phone 609-263-8463.
