You can make 2009 the year you make your health a priority by attending the 2nd Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair at Cape May Elementary School, 921 Lafayette St., March 5 from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
This year’s Health – It’s Elementary Fair is free to all ages and will include health screenings for diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol. In addition, there will be informative and educational displays and discussions from the Brain Injury Institute and Rutgers Nutrition Center on nutritional, healthy, and delicious eating.
Other participants at the fair include: The Center for Community Arts, The Juvenile Diabetes Association of New Jersey, The Cape May County Sheriff’s Department, Cape Urgent Care, Parish Nurses, Cape May Day Spa, Back to Health Chiropractics, Yogi at the Beach, Cape Assist, ARC of Cape May County and The Cape May Health Department.
Each class from Cape May City Elementary School will have a display to show what they have learned about healthy living.
A blood drive will be held March 12 at the school.
