By Herald Staff

WOODBINE — The Borough of Woodbine will hold a Public Hearing on May 7 at 3:30 p.m., at Borough Hall, 501 Washington Avenue, concerning the submission of a New Jersey Department of Transportation, Transportation Enhancement Program, grant application.
Funding is being applied for next phase improvements on Washington Avenue and on the block surrounding the Borough Hall Complex, which will include a public parking lot at the corner of Adams and Franklin, landscaping, fencing, trash receptacles, benches, light fixtures, planters, and other enhancements along the bike path.
This would be phase IV of the streetscape project. The first three phases resulted in $1.2 million in grant funding.
All citizens are encouraged to attend and offer comments at the Public Hearing or by writing to the Borough, attention Mayor William Pikolycky.
“This application would be a result of the stimulus package, and approximately $500,000 will be requested,” added Mayor Pikolycky.
